I wake up to CBC radio too - and at 6:45, so i too greet the day with depressing economic news. I keep saying i should try to find a different radio station. One suggestion - why not watch BBC News instead of CTV while preparing supper? Not that their news is any cheerier, but at least they cover stories not normally covered by Canadian or North American media. And at 6:30, i believe it's Asian business news - usually about the latest boom in Dubai, or something. Anyway - it's just different and less focused on more immediate (to us) problems.
